If you look around, you’ll notice that the business scene is no longer dominated by the old rich. There are those newbies entering the scene who have managed to come close or even surpass the wealth of these old rich. They are mostly enterprising individuals or entrepreneurs in their own right. After being successful in their ventures, they are now part of the elite group that we now call the Nouveau Riche. I have a friend who was lucky enough to be part of the Nouveau Riche. He was not the type who did well in school but he learned his craft that would eventually make him a millionaire by attending several seminars and trainings on I.T. programming, software engineering and business management. After graduation, he had a short stint as an employee but later on realized that he wanted his own business and wanted to be his own boss. He believed he has the capacity to run a technology-based company especially since he has both managerial and technical skills. And indeed, he was able to prove his entrepreneurial skills as he is now the owner of a fast-growing IT company, and thus, he is now a Nouveau Riche in his own right.
